Interview with the scientific director of PerFORM WATER 2030 online on Biogas Channel

The biological conversion of CO2 to methane as an innovative technique for biogas upgrading

Politecnico di Milano is studying an innovative method for upgrading biogas that is cheaper and less energy-intensive than current solutions. This new technology allows the biological conversion of CO2 into methane and, in the context of anaerobic digestion where CO2 is created thanks to the fermentation of the by-products, allows the methanation of H2 (hydrogen) and therefore the production of biomethane.
All the details in this interview with Professor Francesca Malpei, scientific director of PerFORM WATER 2030.
